Early career investigators are a unique reservoir of new ideas, innovation, and excellence in cancer research. To celebrate this, we welcome you to join the 14th Annual HCC Celebration of Early Career Investigators in Cancer Research. This symposium will showcase the talent of early career investigators at the Harvard Cancer Consortium (HCC) who work in several areas of population science, including epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes, diversity, and survivorship. We invite all members of the public to attend the event.

The event will take place on Monday November 9th from 1:00-5:30PM at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. William Dahut, Chief Scientific Officer at the American Cancer Society.

We warmly invite students, post-docs, residents, and clinical fellows to submit abstracts for consideration as oral or poster presentations. The deadline for abstracts is Friday September 18, 2026. This event will be held in-person at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Yawkey Conference Center.

Awards will be given in 3 categories: Best Talk, Best Poster, and Most Innovative Idea.
The Harvard Cancer Consortium (HCC) Pathfinder program is pleased to offer $500 Travel Awards for these awards, selected by the HCC Celebration of Early Career Investigators in Cancer Research planning committee. Pathfinder Travel Awards are intended to support the career development of early-stage cancer investigators by assisting with their travel to scientific meetings. These funds may be used to cover meeting registration expenses, airfare, lodging or per diem costs related to scientific travel during the next 1.5 years.
