Dr. Guo-Cheng Yuan is an Associate Professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Chan School of Public Health and a Principal Faculty member at Harvard Stem Cell Institute. He obtained a PhD degree in Mathematics from University of Maryland, where he studied the theory of chaotic dynamical systems. After graduation, he worked as postdoctoral fellow at Brown University and then briefly as a research scientist at National Centers for Environmental Prediction. Dr. Yuan transitioned into a computational biologist by taking up a postdoctoral fellow position at Harvard University before joining Dana-Farber and Harvard as a faculty member. For over a decade, Dr. Yuan's group has developed systems biology approaches and partnered with numerous experimental biologists to gain mechanistic insights into development and cancer.
